Usability - Dashboard and Guided Tour

One of the most rewarding parts of building Amaas has been listening to feedback from early users.

While the response to the analytics has been overwhelmingly positive, several people shared a common observation:

"The technology is impressive, but I wasn't immediately sure where to begin."

That feedback led to one of the most important improvements we've made since the platform was introduced.

Great analytics should feel approachable

Amaas was designed to solve a difficult problem.

Thousands of publicly traded companies generate millions of financial data points every day. The challenge isn't finding information—it's deciding where to focus your attention.

Over the past year, the Amaas research engine enhancements improved the platform's analytical capabilities, but together they also created more options for new users to navigate.

The next stage of development wasn't adding another metric.

It was making the entire experience easier to understand.

Introducing Guided Onboarding

Amaas now includes an integrated guided walkthrough that introduces the platform using the actual research pages.

Rather than reading documentation or watching a lengthy tutorial, new users are guided through the same workflow experienced investors naturally follow:

  1. Discover investment opportunities using the Top 100 Rankings.

  2. Open a company research page to understand why a company ranks highly.

  3. Compare Composite, Momentum, and Market Environment rankings to see different perspectives on opportunity.

  4. Explore Portfolio Simulation to build a diversified research watchlist.

  5. Learn how Professional subscribers can compare historical datasets to study how opportunities evolve over time.

Every step answers a practical question:

  • Where should I begin?

  • Why did this company rank highly?

  • What has changed recently?

  • How can I build a more balanced portfolio?

Instead of learning software menus, users learn an investment research process.

A Better First Experience

The platform now welcomes users with a dedicated dashboard designed around common research tasks rather than technical features.

Clear navigation, simplified terminology, and contextual guidance help users focus on making decisions instead of figuring out where to click next.

Throughout the platform, each major page now explains the decision it supports.

For example:

  • Top 100 Rankings helps identify companies worth researching first.

  • Company Research explains the factors driving a company's ranking.

  • Top 100 Growth highlights changing market leadership.

  • Portfolio Simulation helps evaluate diversification before investing.

These additions make Amaas more approachable for newer investors while preserving the depth experienced investors expect.

Technology Should Reduce Complexity

One of the principles behind Amaas has always been that technology should reduce complexity—not create more of it.

Artificial intelligence, quantitative modeling, and financial analytics are incredibly powerful tools, but their greatest value comes when they help investors ask better questions and make more informed decisions.

The goal has never been to replace investor judgment.

The goal is to support it.

Looking Ahead

As Amaas continues to evolve, future development will focus on making sophisticated investment research even more accessible without compromising analytical rigor.

Better usability, clearer explanations, and thoughtful workflows are just as important as new algorithms.

The analytics engine remains at the heart of Amaas.

Now the user experience is beginning to match it.

Thank you to everyone who has provided thoughtful feedback during this journey. Your suggestions continue to shape the platform, and they have played a direct role in making Amaas easier, more intuitive, and more valuable for every new user.

I look forward to sharing the next chapter with you.
